At Willsmere Dental, we love being an active partner in our community—and we also love teaching children about proper oral health care. As World Oral Health Day (20th March) quickly approaches, we’d like to share more about our own “tooth fairies” and help promote a positive conversation about oral health!
Visiting Fairies
Our dental team is proud to visit local child centres dressed as tooth fairies to help spread a positive message of proper oral health. A dental nurse along with another team member will read one or two story books about oral health to the children, present posters with proper oral health tips for brushing and demonstrate oral health care on a large model of the teeth.
Our team will also teach the children a fun song about brushing their teeth—simply put, it’s hard to know who has more fun at our visits the children or us! At the end of the visit, we’ll give away “goodie bags” filled with prizes, information, stickers, balloons and colouring activities.
About Child Dental Benefit Schedule (CDBS)
We hope to help parents better understand CDBS—did you know that it renews every year and we treat children eligible for CDBS with on the spot claims after your appointment? Here’s a bit more information for you!
