Wisdom Teeth Removal in Kew
For nearly every adolescent or adult, there comes a time when their wisdom teeth need to be removed. Thankfully, we’re here to support you during this time and offer the comfortable, stress free treatment you deserve.
Your wisdom teeth (also known as third molars) are the final set of molars which are positioned in the very back of your mouth. Typically, they do not ‘erupt’ until the teen years-or even later. Due to the location of these teeth, they generally never have the proper room they need to erupt. Without their removal, this can lead to problems including:
- Oral cysts
- Decay and impactions
- Damage to surrounding teeth like misalignment
- Crowding and pressure
- Pain and swelling
- Infection
The Removal Process
We’ll first make sure you’re a candidate for care by taking x-rays of your mouth and examining your third molars in person-this will allow us to see how they’re erupting and fully understand if the jaw and nerves are being affected around adjacent teeth.
If we deem you’re a good candidate for removal, we’ll book your next visit to begin the process. When you arrive, we’ll do everything we can to make you comfortable and relaxed. We’re happy to offer anaesthetic for your aided comfort.
